    Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies, what we store in your browser, and how you can control it.

    Last updated: 21 July 2026

    Your current choice

You have not yet set a preference. You will see a banner on your next visit to the homepage.

    1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and operate correctly. Similar technologies include localStorage, which stores data in your browser, and sessionStorage. We use localStorage to remember your cookie consent preference on this site.

    2. Essential vs optional

    We categorise cookies as:

    Essential

Necessary for the site to work

These are required for basic functions like page navigation and security. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off in our systems. They do not identify you personally.

    Optional

    Analytics and improvement

If you accept, we may in future use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, which pages are most helpful, and how to improve guidance for IMGs. Currently we do not run non-essential tracking beyond consent storage, so accepting does not activate additional cookies at this time.

    3. What we actually store

At present IMG Navigator Australia stores only:

    • img_cookie_consent – records your choice as accepted or declined in localStorage, so we do not show the banner repeatedly
    • img_cookie_consent_date – the date and time you made your choice, for audit purposes

We do not currently set third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or social media tracking cookies. If we introduce optional analytics in future, we will update this policy and request consent again via the banner.

    4. How consent works

When you first visit the site:

    • We show a cookie banner after a short delay
    • If you click Accept, we store your preference as accepted and may in future set optional analytics cookies as described above
    • If you click Decline, we store your preference as declined and do not set optional cookies
    • In both cases we remember your choice and hide the banner
    • You can change or withdraw consent at any time by clearing your choice above and revisiting, or by clearing cookies in your browser

We do not set any non-essential cookies before you give consent.

    5. How to manage cookies in your browser

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

    • Block all cookies, but some site features may not work
    • Delete existing cookies
    • Set your browser to ask before storing a cookie

How to do this varies by browser:

    • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
    • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
    • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
    • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Clearing localStorage will also remove your consent preference, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

    6. Relationship to Privacy Policy

This Cookie Policy is part of our privacy documentation. For information about how we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, please see our Privacy Policy.

    7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new optional cookies or change how we handle consent. We will publish the updated version with a new last updated date.
