Requirements for primary source verification, AMC examinations, competent authority recognition, specialist assessment, English language requirements, recency of practice, continuing professional development and supervised practice change from time to time. We aim to keep our summaries aligned with official sources at time of writing, but we cannot guarantee currency or completeness.
You must always verify critical information with the authoritative source, for example:
- Ahpra and Medical Board standards
- Australian Medical Council
- Your relevant specialist college website
- Department of Home Affairs for visas
